A sublimely lovely vintage 1950's era Diamond engagement ring; unique and beautifully decorative! Showcasing a fascinating brilliant-cut Diamond with a splendidly glittery scintillation which dazzles the eyes!
All hand crafted with fine and considered prettinesses to the setting including stepped shoulders in the typical Deco style which are set with smaller twinkles and which we just adore... a joy from every angle!
A new departure for us: this vintage Art Deco mount came to us missing its centre stone... we couldn't resist her and so just kept her aside whilst we waited for new inspiration. The story continues a few months later, when we were shown this IGI certificated 2.5 carat Lab Grown Diamond and were tempted to bring the two together, adding old love to a new romance.
The gem is very, very nice quality and she scintillates quite resplendently in her recycled vintage setting. Pictured in the original velveteen lined Art Deco box which will accompany her on her new travels.
Stones: Certificated 2.50 carat Lab Grown Diamond. The details include a report on the colour: E and the clarity: VVS2. Natural Diamonds to the stepped shoulders.
It was grown by Chemical Vapour Deposition:
CVD is a process that deposits carbon atoms from a gas onto a diamond seed, creating gems chemically identical to mined diamonds but in weeks rather than millennia, making them more affordable and popular for jewellery and technology. They possess the same hardness, brilliance, and structure as natural diamonds but are distinguished by their lab origin and are identified with specialized equipment, often resulting in purer Type IIa diamonds with fewer impurities.
Metal: Platinum (workshop stamp 'PLATINUM' inside the band)
Ring Size: The ring measures an M or 6.25 in size but can be altered to suit if you leave a message on your order form.
Measurements: the setting to the stones measures 1cm square
We're unsure as yet as to the ethical credentials of Lab Diamonds, but would say that no new resources have been used to bring this old love to a new romance.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
